A Tryst Interview with Jacksonville escort Estelle Angelique

2021-04-23

One of the biggest battles sex workers face in 2021 is the stigmatization of their work. Harmful stereotypes and false narratives are continually perpetuated by the mainstream non sex working press and it's about time that changed. Each week we chat to workers from across the globe to give you a better understanding of our work, what you can do to help and what we're really like! This week we chat to Jacksonville escort, Estelle Angelique about how she got started, decriminalisation and online sex work.

Tell us your story, how did you get into the industry and what has your journey looked like thus far?

What introduced me to sex work was my desperate need for financial stability. At the time of my life when I started sex work I was on the verge of homelessness shortly after I became homeless and realized that regular workforce jobs weren’t going to get me out of homelessness I had to muster the confidence to try something else. My journey has been pretty rough but I was able to build something successful and plentiful from my desperation

What are some of your hobbies and interests outside of work?

I love to read and watch Sci-Fi/Fantasy. I enjoying painting and stargazing. Working out has to be one of my favorite ways to destress and wind down. I’m a foodie, so I enjoy eating and trying new foods.

We know sex workers are experiencing censorship online, what have your experiences been with this?

I’ve been relatively fortunate to not have experienced much censorship outside of the community wide censorship (losing platforms) and I’ve been fortunate enough to be able to navigate it safely as I can through the censorship because I’ve had quite a few friends who have gotten social accounts banned and bank accounts shut down.

As sex workers, we face a number of challenges in our line of work. What is one issue you care about and how do you think your clients can help sex workers?

An issue that I care about when it comes to challenges faced by sex workers and an issue I wish more clients cared about is respecting SW’s the same as anyone who monetizes off their labor. Clients could be more helpful to sex workers by respecting sex workers protocols “do's and don’ts”.

Why do you think it is important for sex work to be decriminalised and how do you think it would impact your work?

Decriminalization of sex work is very important due to the fact that there’s so many issues within the business that could be resolved through decriminalization and because it’s an underground business it exposes sex workers to harsher realities and outcomes due to not having resources and help.

When you’re feeling burnt out, what do you do to make yourself feel better?

When I’m feeling burnt out from work I like to take a long milk baths. I also like to take time off where I’m just focused on myself and relaxing and recalibrating

How would you describe your dream date?

Fly me out to a cannabis ranch where I can run the fields smoking joints butt naked then have a picnic in the field together

Is there anyone in the industry you consider a role model or someone you looked up to when you first started your journey?

A European black Dom very well-known black Dom named Madame Carmel

You manage not only do in person work, but also online work across a number of platforms. Do you have advice for workers starting out in online work?

Online work is a journey and one that takes diligence in the navigation. I started off very slow and at my own pace and built my online catalog over the last 2 1/2 years. My advice for workers starting online work would be to take your time when forging your content and trying to create your brand it’s not a rush it’s not going to happen overnight but with patience and consistency you can truly build a successful solid online brand.

What are some of your favorite places to visit in Jacksonville?

Riverwalk and Jacksonville Zoo.

My favourite thing to be gifted is: Chanel or Marc Jacobs perfume

One of my simple pleasures is: sipping hot chocolate with liquor in it

If you were going to buy me a drink you should buy me a: Bloody Mary or Fruity Cocktail

I get the biggest thrill out of: Rollercoasters

My favorite scent is: Chanel Chance
